Insurance Requirements
- All Tours: Riders must hold valid travel and medical insurance that covers motorcycle riding and medical expenses. This should preferably include emergency medical treatment, ambulance services and medical repatriation.
- On-Road Tours: All Honda, Suzuki, Yamaha and Kawasaki motorcycles have compulsory basic insurance. For Honda CB500X and NX500 motorcycles only, we can offer a Limited Liability Agreement at 1,000 THB per day, limiting your liability for motorcycle damage to 40,000 THB.
- Harley-Davidson motorcycles must be covered by first-class insurance. First-class insurance costs 8,000 THB per rider, per tour. A compulsory 20,000 THB insurance excess applies to any incident.
- Off-Road Tours: All motorcycles have compulsory basic insurance, which includes limited medical cover of up to 30,000 THB for the rider and third party. This insurance does not cover damage to the motorcycle.
- For off-road tours, we can offer a Limited Liability Agreement at 1,000 THB per day, limiting your liability to 20,000 THB in the event of an accident or damage to our motorcycle.
- Please ensure your personal travel insurance covers motorcycle riding and all applicable medical expenses. In the event of an accident, any recovery costs or additional expenses incurred must be paid by the rider.
- Recovery expenses may include the recovery vehicle, driver, fuel, hotels, food and drinks for the driver and any staff involved in the recovery process. We will ensure that the rider/passenger and motorcycle are returned to our office in Chiang Mai.
